October Happenings

We had a number of good speakers in the month of October that spoke about some very specific topics. Those speakers included: Randy McNally (Tennessee State Representative), Amy Bowden (Journey of Hope), Scott Hughes (Hope Resource Center), Kevin Burcham (Chairperson for Loudon County Relay for Life.

Additionally we added one new member this month: Kris Jones, the store manager for Wal-mart in Lenoir City.

We hope to have some pictures of those events added shortly.

Sam Venable Visits

Knoxville News Sentinel featured columnist and humorist Sam Venable spoke to the club this Monday. Sam is a dynamic speaker that brings a unique humor to his talks. The club throughly enjoyed his visit. Thank you to Sam for taking the time to visit. He did say that out of all of the service clubs he has visited (that's a great number) that the Lenoir City Rotary Club has the greatest fellowship and fun that he has seen out of an organization. He was pleased and surprised by the energy that was displayed and he had a good time there as well. Thank you to the members and guest that were there.

Jeff Jacoby visit

Jeff Jacoby of 99.1FM, the Sports Animal, was our featured speaker for the 15th of September. His topic was what is a winner and the efforts it takes to be a winner. Of course, we also discussed the Tennessee football season. He was a great and entertaining speaker.
